So here is the real reason I am throwing up the blog. Gigabyte is hosting an overclocking contest for their P35, and X38 motherboard lineup. With all the great deals on computer equipment over the 2007 holidays I thought it would be fun to scrape together a new high-end PC. The goal here is to see how fast (performance) I can make a machine without spending any money, or at least not much. Every component that is put into this box will have a specific purpose and will attempt to take advantage of best bargains in the PC component market.
The Gigabyte web site says the entry deadline is the 20th so here we go.
